About Us

Our HistoryThe California Relays is
now heading into it's fourth year at Cerritos College's Falcon Stadium. The
event moved from the Home Depot Center after Falcon Stadium went through it's
multi-million dollar renovation. Since that time, the event has seen
unprecedented growth with thousands of entrants including many of the top athletes in
the sport. It is now firmly established as one of the premiere track and
field events on the west coast.
Originally, the California Relays was for
high school competitors only. When it moved to Cerritos College, the
California Relays went to a new format that featured not only the top high
schools, but some of the best collegiate and open athletes in the west.
Outstanding athletes at the high school level as well as world class
athletes from teams such as VS Athletics and Team Nike have blistered the
new track at Falcon Stadium over the last two seasons.
The California Relays features a two-day
format with both seeded and invitational divisions at all levels. The
seeded events take place in the morning and afternoon sessions with most of the
invitational sections contested in the late afternoon and evening.

Future PlansThe California Relays is growing faster
than any other invitational in the Southern California area and is expected to
attract over 100 high schools and hundreds of collegiate/open athletes for the
2010 event.
It is the goal for the California Relays to become the best
and largest
high school/collegiate/open track & field event in the Southern California area.
